LEXPRO LS-820
This dainty set from Lexpro is a three-piece subwoofer speaker system. The LS-820 is derived using 2x3-inch satellites and a 4-inch driver-enabled subwoofer. Power output specified is 8 W RMS for the satellites and 20 W RMS for the subwoofer. Frequency response specified is 25 Hz to 20 KHz. 25 Hz indicates that the speaker promises good low-end bass reproduction through the subwoofer.
Controls typically situated on the front panel of the subwoofer allow easy access to all the provided controls. The speaker set performed satisfactorily in the tests. The midrange was well represented, the full-range satellites played their part well and sound reproduction was quite ok. However, bass reproduction left a lot to be desired. Minor hissing and buzzing was found at higher volumes, but it was not too irritating.
For its price, the set would be ideal for people wanting to get that little extra power and performance.
